During June and July 2002 the school staged a series of activities that celebrated the 50th year since the opening of the school in 1952. The celebrations opened with an Open Day where all parents were invited to spend time with their children working with them during lesson time. Parents and ex-pupils were able to view the displays in school and remember old friends and events.
The second event was an evening for present and past Teachers, Governors, Support staff and members of the PTA. The event was well attended and was an opportunity for all to meet old friends and to remember shared experiences.
The final event was a Gold Party Day for the present children of the school. They had activities in the morning then party food in the afternoon. The following photographs give a flavour of the displays that were in school.
