What age should my child be to use certain apps?
Age ratings are designed to guide and support users, age ratings may flag when a user may be suited to specific platforms but there can still be certain risks and harms when accessing these platforms.
Age ratings support us with our conversations with our children about what may or may not be suitable. It is advised that online platforms age ratings should be followed. Online platforms should always be investigated before accessing as there are many aspects to consider, such as, content, contact, in-app purchases, advertising, functionality, media literacy, access to a wider audience, chat rooms, disinformation, influence on views, possibility of imposing harm and contribute to mental health issues.
