Wider Curriculum Events
Throughout the school year, our students have numerous opportunities to enhance their learning.

Reading Picnic
We are looking forward to our Reading Picnic this afternoon. Due to the hot weather, we have made a few adjustments to help keep everyone comfortable and safe. Families attending the Reading Picnic will gather in the shaded outdoor areas by EYFS and on the school field. As mentioned previously, you are more than welcome to bring pillows, blankets, snacks and drinks with you to enjoy. As you come through the EYFS gate, please let a member of staff know which children you would

Class 6 Craft Fair
Class 6 are excited and ready for today's Craft Fair! 🎉 Throughout this project, we've learned so much about sourcing materials, budgeting, and calculating profit margins. A huge thank you to all the parents and families who have supported us along the way—we couldn't have done it without you. We can't wait to share what we've created!

Class 2 Rainforest Dave
Class 2 had an amazing visit from Rainforest Dave! 🌴🐍 The children were completely captivated as they listened to his exciting rainforest adventures, learning all about incredible animal adaptations, the lives of indigenous tribes, and how local people survive. Animal Man with Class 5
Class 5 had a fantastic day with the Animal Man company learning all about different animals, their habitats and some of the dangers these very animals face. Cricket

We are all disappointed to have had our last session, however, we hope that it has sparked an interest in all and that we have some future cricketers at Palmers Cross. This has been a brilliant foundation and introduction to cricket for us and we hope to see some of the children attend Cricket Club in Summer term and represent our school in matches. There are also many op

The room was buzzing with excitement as the children put on their scientist hats and got stuck into some mind-blowing experiments. We started with milk fireworks, watching in amazement as colours swirled. Everyone gasped and cheered as the patterns changed before their eyes — it was science and art all rolled into one!
