Year 6 enjoyed an exciting street art workshop with Lee from EngagedU. They discovered how graffiti has developed into a recognised form of contemporary art, exploring different lettering techniques, graphic styles and creative designs. Children in Years 1 and 2 are having a fantastic time at Wild Tribe Club! They are loving getting outdoors, exploring nature and taking part in lots of exciting activities.

On Tuesday 29th September 2026, our children took part in a special Poems for Remembrance workshop. They explored the power of poetry to express thoughts and feelings about remembrance and created their own poems inspired by the theme. CLICK HERE to read our poems.

Year 1 learnt to follow a set of instructions. We read the story of Little Red Riding Hood and then, using instructions, made a magical potion to send the wolf to sleep! We discussed what instructions were as well as their purpose beforehand and tomorrow we will see if the wolf drank the magical potion.

Children watched a live assembly about allergies, learning what allergies are, how they can affect people, and the importance of being aware and considerate of others. Children were encouraged to understand how they can help keep everyone safe and included.

Year 5 have been enjoying their science lessons, investigating the properties of different materials. They tested a range of materials to find out whether they were rigid, magnetic, conducted electricity or were transparent. The children enjoyed making observations, testing their ideas and working scientifically.

Class 5 have been exploring changes in our local area over time my observing maps of Palmers Cross ranging from 1890s to modern day. We have been investigating how trees, forests and woodland have been used.

Year 3 worked together to compare and group different types of rocks by investigating their permeability. The children carried out practical tests to see how easily water passed through each rock, using their observations to classify and group the rocks. A great hands-on investigation that helped bring their science learning to life!

Year 6 have been learning all about blood vessels and their important role in the human body. As a team, the children created a scientific diagram to represent the different types of blood vessels. They used red for arteries, which transport oxygen-rich blood away from the heart, and blue for veins, which transport oxygen-poor blood back towards the heart. A fantastic way to bring their learning about the circulatory system to life!

We are currently completing a unit of work in outdoor learning based on Superworm. Today we have been making our own wormeries.
