Year 3 and 4 pupils took part in the city baton relay. Claregate Primary School passed the baton onto Palmers Cross. Our school then transported the baton to SS Peter and Paul. It was great to be part of the city baton relay that will involve our 90 schools before the games begin at the end of July.

Class 2 had an amazing visit from Rainforest Dave! 🌴🐍 The children were completely captivated as they listened to his exciting rainforest adventures, learning all about incredible animal adaptations, the lives of indigenous tribes, and how local people survive. The highlight of the visit was meeting some truly fascinating creatures… including Amelia the tarantula! 🕷️ Class 2 showed just how brave they are, many even held her. What an unforgettable experience!

Well done to everyone at Palmers Cross for completing their mini-marathon run. School received their trophy from the London Marathon School team.

Class 6 recently enjoyed a memorable reward trip to Hollywood Bowl, a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of fun. This outing was a perfect way to celebrate their hard work and achievements, giving students a chance to relax and bond outside the classroom.

Today we went on a bear hunt. What did we find? We made a picnic and enjoyed it with our our teddy bear friends.

A reminder for parents and carers that the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) will take place in the 2 week period after half term. Today Class 8 have been on a min-beast hunt.

Year 1 have started their new topic Plants by planting their own sunflower seeds. The children learned what seeds need to grow, filled their pots with soil, and carefully watered their seeds. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be observing their plants, measuring how tall they grow, and spotting changes as their sunflowers begin to sprout. A lovely start to our learning on plants.

In this lesson, the children took on the role of young scientists as they explored three different types of animal droppings. By examining clues such as visible contents, they investigated whether each sample came from a herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore. This hands‑on activity strengthened their observation and reasoning skills while helping them understand how an animal’s diet influences its digestive system and the waste it produces. Class 8 have been using their artistic flare to create some under the sea rice cakes that look like fish, but taste delicious!

A good breakfast to start our day. Pupils are packed and ready to begin their last day at their residential. Buggy making this morning. Pupils are excited to tell their families all about their trip away.

Today we have been exploring air resistance in Class 8. We made parachutes of different sizes to see how they would travel back to the ground through the air.
