Across Science week Class 4 have based their investigations on eggs, linking it to their English topic 'Humpty Dumpty' They started the week by comparing the shell of an egg to the enamel on our teeth. They placed eggs inside containers filled with water, orange juice, cola and coffee and waited 48hours. Once the time had passed they were able to see the effect the drink had on the egg shell appearance. They were then able to consider the importance of keeping our teeth healt

Class 4 enjoyed showing off their World Book day costumes.

Year 4 have continued to learn all about The Romans during their Topic 'You're Not Invited'. They spent time learning all about Roman currency and then had a go at designing and creating their own Roman coin using modelling clay.

This week in Class 8 we have been looking at the story of the Gingerbread Man to combine the celebrations of World Book Day and Science Week. We have engaged in role play to retell the story, made bridges for the Gingerbread Man to avoid the fox, looked at how running as fast we can affects our body and even baked our own Gingerbread Men that also ran away, Plus lots more! World Book Day Fun in EYFS: Dressing Up as Our Favourite Book Characters! 📚✨ Today our EYFS classroom was filled with excitement, imagination and lots of wonderful costumes as we celebrated World Book Day ! The children arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, and it was fantastic to see so many creative outfits inspired by the stories they love.

Today the Ducklings from Early Years made a special visit to Class 8 to show off their swimming skills.

Our mixed football team lost 6:3 to Bhylls Acre Primary School. The team never gave up and encouraged each other until the final whistle. Our girl's team had a 0:0 draw with Trinity Primary School on a very wet pitch after on Friday afternoon. Well done to all our players.

Our EYFS children had a fantastic time stepping inside the WonderDome for an exciting journey through space. They explored the night sky, spotted planets and the Moon, and learned all about rockets and astronauts.

This afternoon, Class 2 children explored an exciting habitat trail. We discussed the habitats of British wildlife and how they would create them to survive. Children then worked in small groups to create some habitats of their own. Later on, we were able to visit the rabbits and guinea pigs! The children were incredibly gentle and calm around the animals. Well done Class 2!

This morning, children enjoyed an adventure filled walk along the Kingswood common where we were able to spot some signs of signs of Spring.

Class 2 had a great night sleep ahead of their busy and exciting second day. Before starting any of our morning activities, the children stripped their bedding and made their own beds ready to start the day!

Class 8 are having a fantastic time on our school residential.

After a fun packed day of outdoor activities, Class 2 enjoyed some downtime in the garden. The children played happily with the garden toys and even found some beautiful wildlife!🐞 Now it’s time for some dinner before getting ready for bed.
