A very warm welcome to Reception! We hope you and your family have enjoyed a lovely summer break. We are so excited to welcome your children and begin this special journey together.
The Autumn term will focus on helping the children settle into their new environment, build friendships and become familiar with their new routines. Through a balance of teacher-led, guided and child-initiated activities, both indoors and outdoors, we will encourage the children to be curious, confident and independent learners.
A few reminders
Coats & Wellies
Please ensure your child brings a suitable coat every day, whatever the weather. On Tuesdays, the children will take part in woodland activities, so please provide wellies in a clearly labelled carrier bag to be kept at school.
PE
PE takes place every Wednesday and Thursday. PE kits should remain in school until the end of term and should include indoor and outdoor footwear and a tracksuit for colder weather. Please clearly label all clothing, shoes, bags and belongings with your child’s name. This helps us encourage independence and prevents items from getting mixed up.

We operate an open-door policy, so please feel free to speak to a member of the Reception team if you have any questions or messages. Staff will be available at the classroom doors from 8:30am and again at 3:15pm.
