Fun Science After School Club

Our very first Fun Science Club with the amazing Super Sonic Sue was a blast — literally! The room was buzzing with excitement as the children put on their scientist hats and got stuck into some mind-blowing experiments.

We started with milk fireworks, watching in amazement as colours swirled. Everyone gasped and cheered as the patterns changed before their eyes — it was science and art all rolled into one!

Next, Super Sonic Sue showed us how to make exploding test tubes. There were bubbles, fizzing, and plenty of “wow!” moments as the children learned about chemical reactions and how different ingredients can combine to make something totally new. Curiosity in full gear — our young scientists were hooked!

To finish, we made our very own slimy polymer, stretching, squishing, and moulding it into all sorts of fun shapes. The best part? Everyone got to take their creation home to show their families (and maybe gross them out a little too!).

It was a fantastic start to our Fun Science journey — full of laughter, learning, and discovery. We can’t wait to see what Super Sonic Sue has planned for next week’s scientific adventure!
