Welcome back to summer term! We hope you have had a lovely Easter! We have a busy term ahead of us, so we hope that the children are well rested and ready for their final term at Palmers Cross Primary School!
We will be continuing our preparations for SATs tests; this will include teaching test skills and using past test questions to develop children’s confidence in order to achieve their very best. Any additional revision done at home would be greatly beneficial to the children’s learning.
A timetable for SATs week is below so that you are aware of when the children will be sitting the tests. Can we remind you, that attendance is vital during the week as the children have worked hard this year in preparation for them.

We will also continue to focus on developing our writing skills across a range of texts including short stories and non-fiction texts, such as letter writing.
After SATs, the children can look forward to our residential to Laches Wood, please ensure your full balance is paid by 1st June.
We will continue with our writing and topic lessons but also have some fun activities and projects planned. These include raising funds for our fun day and rehearsals for our end of year assembly. Children will also be off on their high school induction days. These are organised by the high schools so please ensure you are familiar with the dates of your child’s school.
