Habitat trail and animal handling 🪺🐾
This afternoon, Class 2 children explored an exciting habitat trail. We discussed the habitats of British wildlife and how they would create them to survive. Children then worked in small groups to create some habitats of their own. Later on, we were able to visit the rabbits and guinea pigs! The children were incredibly gentle and calm around the animals. Well done Class 2!

Kingswood Day 2🪵
Class 2 had a great night sleep ahead of their busy and exciting second day. Before starting any of our morning activities, the children stripped their bedding and made their own beds ready to start the day!

Class 2 outdoor fun🌿
After a fun packed day of outdoor activities, Class 2 enjoyed some downtime in the garden. The children played happily with the garden toys and even found some beautiful wildlife!🐞 Now it’s time for some dinner before getting ready for bed.

Air raid shelter!
Year 2 were able to explore the air raid shelter at Kingswood! They carefully travelled underground to find out what it was for children during World War 2. The children carefully listened to interesting facts about WW2, as well listening to the air raid alarm.⛑️

We have arrived!
Year 2 have arrived at Kingswood for their residential trip. The children have settled in well, unpacked their bags and have started with some fun outdoor activities. Now it’s time for lunch, chicken dinner and pudding…yum!

Land Ahoy!
Children in Class 2 had a fantastic time celebrating their ' Land Ahoy!' topic with a special Pirate Day. Although we didn’t capture many photos, the day was packed with activities. The highlight was creating our very own cardboard treasure chests, where the children put their DT skills to great use. They worked carefully to design, build, and decorate their chests, showing brilliant creativity and teamwork throughout the day.

Animal man visit
Today, Class 2 had the fantastic opportunity to welcome The Animal Man into school. The children were introduced to a fascinating range of animals, including cockroaches, snakes, owls and lizards. They listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions and gently touched some of the animals while learning interesting facts about them. This exciting experience has kickstarted our new science topic, Animals, including Humans , and provided a fantastic learning opportunity!

Snow day fun!
During the afternoon, Class 2 had lots of fun exploring and playing in the snow outside. As well as making snowmen and drawing in the snow, this was a great learning opportunity to discuss the signs of winter by making links to our science topic of Plants.

Class 1 and 2's Nativity
Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, family members and family friends who joined us on Wednesday 10th December for Class 1 and 2's Nativity performance. Myself, Miss Connolly, Mrs Jones and Mrs Winfindale are all extremely proud of them all. We hope you enjoyed their performance and have an amazing holiday with your families and loved ones.

Year 2 trip to Kingswood!
Last week, Year 2 enjoyed their school trip to Kingswood. They had lots of outdoor science fun, taking part in den building, clay workshops, a materials trail and even fun on the adventure playground!
