Last Friday, 21st November, our Time Team topic truly came to life as we set off on an exciting school trip to Blists Hill Victorian Town in Ironbridge. This visit marked the beginning of our new learning journey, where we will be exploring the Industrial Revolution, discovering how life has changed through history, and developing our map-reading skills.
The day was a wonderful opportunity for the children to step back in time and experience Victorian life first-hand. As we wandered through the open-air museum, the children met costumed characters, explored old shops and cottages, and watched traditional crafts and industries in action. From the sounds of machinery to the smell of freshly baked Victorian bread, every moment helped them imagine what life was really like over a century ago. The children also enjoyed the Intaglio Printing workshop and created some incredible prints to take home!
