We took part in the Big Assembly and a live lesson with Mr Dilly to learn about some of the events that took place during World War 2 which further supported our knowledge from our history topic 'British Bulldog'. This was all about the vital role that Winston Churchill played in the war effort.

We also wrote some blackout poetry using an extract from After the War by Tom Palmer.

Veer and Georgie were inspired to go the extra mile to write their own poems.

Ready for the afternoon, we designed some flags and placemat for our 1940s style street party where the whole school celebrated together.
