A super final session was had by all the children in Class 5 with Kieran from Staffordshire Cricket Club. We are all disappointed to have had our last session, however, we hope that it has sparked an interest in all and that we have some future cricketers at Palmers Cross. Last Friday, 21st November, our Time Team topic truly came to life as we set off on an exciting school trip to Blists Hill Victorian Town in Ironbridge. This visit marked the beginning of our new learning journey, where we will be exploring the Industrial Revolution, discovering how life has changed through history, and developing our map-reading skills. Class 8 has a fantastic day at the chocolate factory. They created chocolate artwork, tempered the chocolate, visited the 4D cinema and even rode the Cadbury cart collecting cocoa pops and milk to make the bars of chocolate.

Congratulations to our sports hall athletics team. Pupils represented Palmers Cross at the area competition at Aldersley High School. The team finished in 3rd position just missing out on the city finals. Well done to everyone involved.

Congratulations to our dodgeball team who won the bronze medal in the city competition at Ormiston New Academy. Great teamwork and determination was shown throughout the competition. Well done to all our players.

As part of anti-bullying week, Class 2 have enjoyed making positive postcards! Year 2 children wrote positive messages and handed them out around school as a random act of kindness.

This week marks Anti-Bullying Week, and our theme is ‘Power for Good’. Class 1 created a Kindness Chain, sharing all the ways they plan to show kindness throughout the week. Each link represents a thoughtful action or promise to make someone’s day brighter. Keep an eye out later this week for our photos, capturing Class 1’s wonderful Acts of Kindness  in action!

🌟 Nursery Rhyme Week Fun! 🌟 In Reception and Nursery, we’ve kicked off Nursery Rhyme Week with lots of singing, laughter, and dressing up as our favourite rhymes! 🎶✨ Today, we explored the rhyme “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and had great fun investigating sinking and floating . The children loved testing out which objects would stay afloat and which ones would sink.🚤

Last week, Year 2 enjoyed their school trip to Kingswood. They had lots of outdoor science fun, taking part in den building, clay workshops, a materials trail and even fun on the adventure playground! These activities linked to Year 2's current science topic: Uses of Everyday Materials. Take at look at some of our awesome pictures, we all had so much fun!

The children in class 7 have really enjoyed playing instruments and exploring the song “whizz, pop, bang.” We have enjoyed exploring bonfire night creating fireworks, using paint and shapes.
