Class 4 were joined by firefighter from Tettenhall Fire service this afternoon. They looked at fire safety and the dangers to look out for around the home. They were even lucky enough to try on the clothing and sit inside the fire engine.

Class 5 have began their Cricket sessions with Kieran from Staffordshire Cricket. They had a fantastic session practising their throwing and catching skills in a variety of games - head, shoulders, knees and toes; around the galaxy (where we were throwing and catching with speed and precision); and had a catching shoot-out which tested our reflexes and hand-eye co-ordination where we had to catch a ball which was hit to us at random! On Monday, Class 6 had a visit from our local PCSO, who came to talk to us about being good members of the community, knife awareness and understanding anti-social behaviour. We learned that being part of a community means showing respect, helping others, and taking care of our surroundings. The PCSO explained how actions like littering or vandalism can upset others and why it’s important to make positive choices. We also found out more about what PCSOs do to keep people safe

Our very first Fun Science Club with the amazing Super Sonic Sue was a blast — literally!  The room was buzzing with excitement as the children put on their scientist hats and got stuck into some mind-blowing experiments. We started with milk fireworks, watching in amazement as colours swirled. Everyone gasped and cheered as the patterns changed before their eyes — it was science and art all rolled into one! Today Class 8 have been busy having their own Bonfire Night celebrations with a campfire to roast marshmallows. We have made Bonfire night pictures, talked about fire safety and Guy Fawkes.

Class 7 had so much fun finding different objects in jelly and matching them to pictures.

Class 4 have enjoyed experimenting with sound today. They have investigated how sounds are made and travel. Using different apparatus they created sound vibrations and observed what happened .

Class 8 have been busying scrubbing clothes clean and pegging them out to dry in our life skills lesson this week.

Mrs. Gormley and Mrs. Guest couldn't have been prouder of Class 6 as they showcased their incredible fact files about Steve Jobs! The children poured their creativity and enthusiasm into the project, resulting in a collection of presentations that were not only informative, but also visually stunning. Each fact file was filled with fascinating details about Jobs' life and achievements, accompanied by vibrant colours and engaging pictures that truly brought their work to life.

Year 6 had an amazing time testing out the motorised vehicles they built completely from scratch! Each group worked hard to saw and shape the wooden frames, carefully glue the pieces together, and design their own circuits to power the vehicles. They also created clever pulley systems to get their vehicles moving smoothly. It was fantastic to see all their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving come to life as the finished vehicles raced across the playground!

Over the past few weeks, Class 6 has put in a tremendous amount of effort to create their own healthy pizza companies, showcasing their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit!
